Tokin' gay representation. From: NewNowNext  HBO’s new anthology series, High Maintenance , digs into the lives of a diverse group of New Yorkers who share one common thread—their pot delivery guy.  Debuting September 16, the show originally began as an acclaimed web series from Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld and is now making the leap to television. The first episode, “Meth(od),” is a queer one indeed—with a young gay man named Max (Max Jenkins) hooking up with art lover Sebastian, played by adult film star Colby Keller . Without giving too much away, let’s just say Colby gives it ALL away in an explicit sex scene and full-frontal shot. The episode also features Christopher Caldwell, a.k.a. Bob the Drag Queen , in a rather dramatic role. (There’s even a little hat-tip to Drag Race .) HBO tells us downtown goddess Justin Vivian Bond has a role later in the season, too. We’ve only cracked the first few episodes but the show is darn addictive. (Also, we hope to see lots more of ne...

From: Towleroad Two new teaser or promo trailers have been released for season 6 of American Horror Story , and they’ve left us wondering now more than ever what the upcoming cycle will be about. The anthology horror series from Ryan Murphy has previously looked at a haunted house, an asylum, a coven, a freak show, and a haunted hotel. There have been some rumors that season 6 will be about Roanoke, the lost English colony. Images from these two promos, however, don’t necessarily back that up. But who’s to say at this point? Watch below and decide for yourself what you think season 6 will be about.

Executive producer Greg Berlanti says it will be a "significant" character. From: NewNowNext  Attention superhero fans: A character on one of the CW’s series set in the DC Comics universe will be coming out as gay next season. “One of the characters on one of the shows is going to be exploring their sexuality and coming out,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said at the Television Critics Association’s press tour earlier this month. “We’re very excited about that.”  Currently, the network airs The Flash , Arrow , Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow , which have all already featured gay or bisexual characters. Will it be an existing character who comes out or a new face? And will he or she be super-powered or a mere mortal.  Greg Berlanti, the out mastermind behind the DC television universe, will only tease that it is a “significant” character.” “The only reason we wouldn’t [say who] is we really want the audience to enjoy the character developments and not necessarily ...

Kelly's co-head writer Sarah Schneider is the show's first female head writer since 2008. From: NewNowNext A shakeup at Saturday Night Live could mean higher-brow comedy in seasons to come, as NBC has confirmed seasoned writers C hris Kelly and Sarah Schneider have been promoted to co-head writers for the iconic show’s upcoming 42nd season. Variety calls the move “a dramatic change in tone to better fit with a younger, modern audiences” in light of the recent firings of Jay Pharoah, Taran Killam, and Jon Rudnitsky, a trio that specialized in the kind of “toxic bro humor” SNL devolved into these last couple years. Together, Kelly and Schneider are responsible for some of the more hilarious sketches since they joined the show in 2011, like “The Beygency,” “Back Home Ballers,” the Emmy-nominated “(Do It On My) Twin Bed,” “Bern Your Enthusiasm,” and “Bar Talk” with Hillary Clinton. In a 2015 interview with Splitsider , the duo explained how they first met on the set of a CollegeHu...

And he'll have a vampire boyfriend! From: NewNowNext  TV Line is reporting that Teen Wolf alum Keahu Kahuanui has joined the cast of the fourth season of The CW’s supernatural drama series The Originals.  Kahuanui will recur starting on the second episode of the new season as Eddie, the new boyfriend of vampire Josh (Steven Krueger). Eddie—described as “sweet, funny, sexy and charming, with an encyclopedic knowledge of random facts”—has no desire to be anything other than human, but is aware of the supernatural world he’s stepped into. Eddie will be the first romantic entanglement for Josh since the death of his werewolf boyfriend Aiden last season, who was murdered in order to try to start a war between the vampires and werewolves.  Of course, this won’t be the first time that Kahuanui has been in supernatural love. As Danny on Teen Wolf , he had a brief but memorable relationship with werewolf Ethan (Charlie Carver). Hopefully the upcoming Eddie/Josh relationship will last lo...

The series will also feature a female lead. From: NewNowNext  CBS’ presentation at this week’s Television Critics Association summer tour focused on all things Star Trek as the creative team shared some info on the highly anticipated series, Star Trek: Discovery . Showrunner and executive producer Bryan Fuller ( Hannibal , Pushing Daisies ) revealed not only that the show will have a female lead, but it will also feature a gay character. Something that the Star Trek universe hadn’t seen until it was revealed that Sulu was gay in this summer’s Star Trek Beyond .  At the panel Fuller spoke about the choice to have a gay character: “Absolutely we’re having a gay character. What was very interesting for me going into this process as a gay man who worked on Star Trek: Voyager , I still have in a file folder in my garage the hate mail that Star Trek: Voyager got because there was a rumor that Jeri Ryan’s character was going to be gay. The bile in that letter, I kept it because I was like, ...

50 Cent Nude on Power From: Fleshbot  Starz original series Power got a boost in its Tomatometer score between its tepid first season and current 2016 season, and it's definitely also picking up steam with the Gay Internet, especially now that star and executive producer 50 Cent showed his penis and butt in Sunday night's episode, "Don't Worry, Baby." We were first TIPPED off (we are the only website to use that joke) when Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson went on an Instagram rant before Sunday's airing, apparently devastated and furious that the powers that be behind Power decided to show his penis in the final version. #EFFENVODKA!  In his first post he writes: "Man I just saw episode 4, of POWER Courtney I'm a kill you, this is not funny . I think I just saw my in a scene. What the fuck Courtney call my phone NOW!!!" Note: This tricky Courtney woman is Courtney Kemp Agboh, the creator of Power .  Curtis followed up that Instagram post ab...

According to Amazon: “[In the third season], the Pfefferman family splinters into disparate journeys on their continued path of self-discovery. After a jarring reality check, Maura seeks to become the woman she envisions through gender confirmation surgery. All paths converge on a family cruise to Mexico, affirming that though their family history is murky, each Pfefferman is their truest self when they come together.” Aside from Maura’s journey toward surgery, the trailer shows Shelley (Judith Light) discovering her personal “brand,” Sarah (Amy Landecker) continuing to explore BDSM, Ali (Gabby Hoffman) questioning her gender and sexual identity and Josh (Jay Duplass) attempting to make amends with both Rabbi Raquel Fein (Kathryn Hahn) and his son, Colton.
