10 Mother’s Day Movies That Totally Celebrate Why We Love (And Hate) Moms

صورة
From: Queerty 4 Psycho OK, so this one might be a bit of a stretch, but hey, Mother’s Day celebrates all aspects of motherhood, right? That should include turning your son into a serial killing psychopath! Not that anyone is complaining about Anthony Perkins , or his damn handsome looks… Alfred Hitchcock would also love that men and women view his suspense-thriller masterpiece on Mother’s Day as a sort of twisted love letter to motherhood, or as a way to cleanse the palate between screenings of other, more saccharine film outings. The movie should also make anyone who’s seen it raise an eyebrow the next time some cute gay boy in the club refers to his mom as his “best friend.”

From: Queerty 2.  Russell Todd   Friday the 13th Part II With his leading-man good looks, you fully expect Russell Todd to be the last man standing in Friday the 13th Part II . That’s why it’s so thrilling when the machete slips delicately across his throat, and then the rush of spilling blood…

While we certain enjoy the coach’s sadomasochist slice-up, Ron’s flamboyant murder involves him getting skewered in a pair of slinky running shorts (Also, mom doesn’t seem overly worried; more like she wants to get back to Newhart .) Here are all the deaths in Nightmare 2. (Ron’s scene starts at 2:03):

Joshua Gagnon: Something Wicked This Way Comes

صورة
From:  Favorite Hunks & Other Things  Joshua Gagnon's work with Rob was certainly not the New Hampshire artist's first foray into the world of the wicked. In fact. over the years he has created many scenarios delving into the dark side. Below are three of my favorites, along with the artists own words about how they all came together. Jack O' Lantern Model: Andrew  ' This was the first set from a shoot i recently did with Andrew, the theme was creepy, and Halloween based. Andrew asked for this shot so he could utilize it for a film he is writing and directing involving a serial killer. I didn't feel it at first until the photo was completely retouched and then I stood back and looked at it really happy with the way it turned out. '   ' Andrew came baring the small jack o' lantern, the fog machine (which we already established that I didn't want any part of at first) and requested to be greased up to look shiny. He brought witch hazel for this. T...

From: Queerty 4.  Eric Balfour  Texas Chainsaw Massacre  2003 Never-not-hot Eric Balfour has an unwitting rendezvous with Leatherface in this scene from the wholly unnecessary Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Though much of his mutilation sadly takes place off-screen, we do get to see his skinned face worn as a mask later on. Balfour or Leatherface: Who wore it best?

From: Queerty So rugged. So handsome. Such a pity they had to die. Those firm, muscular bodies desecrated and torn asunder… The panic coursing from their eyes as they bleed out, staring sightlessly. The inhumanity of it… To celebrate all things eldritch and awful, here are five scenes from an assortment of schlocky horror films that hover lovingly over flayed man flesh. Let’s watch these handsome, well-intentioned men get their guts handed to them as they’re painted over in their own blood. Because that’s life. That’s reality. And this is Halloween weekend, bitch. Let’s take a look. Shall we, kiddies? 5.  Paul Satterfield  Creepshow 2  1987 The followup to the far-superior Creepshow anthology film is memorable mainly for Paul Satterfield spending the entire “The Raft” installment in a yellow bikini before being tortured and killed by a lumpen lake creature. ‘American Horror Story’ Raises More Questions with Two New Season 6 Teasers

صورة
From: Towleroad Two new teaser or promo trailers have been released for season 6 of American Horror Story , and they’ve left us wondering now more than ever what the upcoming cycle will be about. The anthology horror series from Ryan Murphy has previously looked at a haunted house, an asylum, a coven, a freak show, and a haunted hotel. There have been some rumors that season 6 will be about Roanoke, the lost English colony. Images from these two promos, however, don’t necessarily back that up. But who’s to say at this point? Watch below and decide for yourself what you think season 6 will be about.
